Possibly due to their “rocky” past in harsh environments, some varieties of snake plants (called Sansevierias but reclassified as Dracaena) have a rather aggressive (though occasionally cute) upright patterns in compact locations and limited water (sharp as a mother-in-law's tongue). This being said, snake plants are culturally considered totems of protection against negative spirits or simply bad air quality. Thus, despite being a rather thorny plant to have in one’s collection, the Francissii can be a reminder of the good that comes with difficult situations and relationships.
