Return and refund policy
For Cancellations
We accept order cancellations at any point before we ship out the plant. If, for any reason, you wish to cancel your order, promptly contact us at info@bookmarkplants.com with your order number and cancellation request. If your order has not been processed for shipment, our team will confirm the cancellation with you. From here, you will receive a confirmation email and any refunds applicable under our refund and return policy.
If the shipment has already been processed, we still advise that you contact us, but the process would fall under Returns rather than Cancellations.
For Refunds (Defective Products)
We do our best to ensure every plant is packaged with the utmost care and has a relatively comfortable trip (or as comfortable as you can get in an insulated cardboard box) to your home. That said, a lot can happen on the road, and we understand the stress of getting a plant that has seen better days. We accept returns for incorrect orders, as well as for plants that are damaged by the carrier or defective in any way upon arrival.
If you believe the plants you received are defective, please contact us at info@bookmarkplants.com within 7 days of the delivery; be sure to include your order number and clear photos of the issue. We will review your request and work with you to resolve the issue.
For Returns and Buyer’s Remorse
Returns and full refunds are eligible for plants in good condition (ex. For incorrect purchases or failed cancellations). Returns with partial refunds are eligible for plants in relatively good condition (ex. Damages outside the delivery process).
If you reside in Toronto or a neighboring district (including Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, and Scarborough), we will work with you to organize a shipping-free return solution. If you live outside these regions, we request that you contact us regarding our return process for the plant. We accept in-person and mailing returns so long as the plant is given the necessary care to survive its travel back, and the plant is returned using the same insulation as its delivery. We do not charge any extra restocking fees. However, in most cases, we do not provide payment for return shipping.
For more information on returns, you can contact us at info@birdsbooksbotany.com with your order number, reason for return, and any relevant pictures or documentation. Once you have sent us the request, we will review the issue and work with you to find the best solution for the situation at hand regarding the initial payment (including product costs and shipping costs). After the return and refund terms have been settled, we will send you a confirmation email, as well as a downloadable return label. Once this confirmation email has been sent, we require you to initiate the shipping process within 7 days. We will send a refund within 48 hours of receiving the product using the same form of payment used to make the initial purchase.
