A close sister to the pink princess, the white princess has a crisper variegation that often contrasts its dark leaves. However, following the namesake of its species (erubescens meaning “blush”), she also presents a bit of pink when tanned under bright light (due to the hue or her secondary metabolites), taking after her sister and becoming a tricolour plant.
How to Care for Philodendron White Princess?
They key word is consistency. These plants prefer more acidic soil (it helps them absorb their nutrients) and don’t enjoy drying out, but they can grow in regular potting soil and handle dry roots better than some of their relatives. Unlike the black cardinal (of the same species), this plant has a strong climbing habit, so you might want to prepare a funky trellis or support before things get out of hand.
