Pot Size

The word ‘maximum’ originates from the Latin word for ‘greatest.’ And, like the name implies, Philodendron maximum is currently considered the largest philodendron, its new leaves rapidly surpassing the previous, sometimes growing past a meter and half in length (the average height for women). Thus, while the plant’s shape and size start off quite unremarkably (with plain leaves similar in shape to several other philodendrons), they gradually make themselves known by its sheer growth.

Care Guide

How to Care for Philodendron Maximum?

Much like other climbing philodendrons, this plant is an epiphyte, enjoying chunky, slightly acidic soil and a watering schedule that gives its roots time to dry out, as well as something strong from which to plant its roots and climb. While the tropical background of this plant inclines toward higher humidity environments, it can easily thrive in a wide variety of environments.

LightMedium Indirect light to Dappled light
