Peperomia Ginny, Peperomia obtusifolia ‘Ginny’

Peperomia obtusifolia (roughly translated to mean ‘that round pepper-like plant’), is a common, rather unremarkable plant. It’s a rubber plant without rubber, a radiator plant without warmth; it’s non-toxic, but not nearly as edible as its cousin, peperomia pellucida. But, sometimes, simplicity is a good thing. With its plump, easy ability to thrive, it’s often used as a symbol of resilience or hope for the future. 

How to Care for Peperomia Obtusifolia Ginny?

Native between Florida and the Caribbean, this plant prefers shadier (but brightly lit) environments, where they happily chill and push out plump leaves that can produce their own plants if plucked and planted. They’re not heavy feeders and they prefer to dry between watering sessions.
