Alba, a naturally occurring variety, differs from the darker, starker varieties of ludisia with its bright green leaves and stark white, iridescent veins. With the tendency to crawl along the surface of a terrarium or pot floor, the plant has a thick rhizomatous stem that makes the plant highly adaptable and popular in households, even those that only support an ambient, temperate microclimate.
