Dossinia is likely one of the most dramatic jewel orchids, not only its grandiose large-leafed look but also its temperament. Despite its fleshy roots, its structure is sensitive and rots quickly if left to soak in most conditions for an extended period of time. If left to dry between waterings, though, its foliage can be quite rewarding, with flashy, almost electric veins.

How to Care for Jewel Orchid Dossinia Marmorata 'Titan'?
Although dossinia roots can be large and fleshy, it’s important to provide a wide shallow pot, since too much substrate can take too long to dry out. Giving the plant about 5cm of substrate, we recommend adding a bit of texture (coco chips) to allow better drainage to give the roots more time to dry out. Once established, this plant does well in lower lights and less (albeit consistent) care.
