The Buddha’s hand, a citron tree, was named for the odd, warty albedo phalanges that protrude out of one side of its fruit. Though it doesn’t have much edible pulp, these hands are highly fragrant, making exceptional zests, and its rind fibrous and mildly sweet. Its flesh has been used for flavoring and candies, and its oils have been used for their highly fragrant (perfume) and antibiotic properties). In the past, it was even thought to ward insects and improve morning and motion sickness.

Care Guide
How to Grow and Care for Buddha’s Hand, Citrus medica Var. Sarcodactylis?
The Buddha hand is quite a fast grower, expanding and blooming regardless of the season, and often bearing fruit that grow quite large without falling off on their own. However, this comes with a caveat. Relative to other plants, these plants are a more sensitive to change (like frosts and extreme weather), and need to be more sheltered by routine, with regular water and fertilization in a bright warm location.
