A bit of a bastard child of the Ace of Spades (likely with a red leaf anthurium), there’s a reason why this plant is still named after one of the more highly valued cards in poker. Created by chance, the Queen of Hearts unfurls some really hefty leaves that start off with a red blush that turns into a dark, moody, dramatic shades—like bursts of passion that cool back down to murderous simmers. This makes its name all the more fitting, thanks to Lewis Caroll’s Alice in Wonderland.

Care Guide
How to Care for Anthurium Queen of Hearts (Anthurium 'queen of hearts')?
Unlike the demanding and petulant Queen of Hearts (from Alice in Wonderland), this anthurium is relatively forgiving, and is often considered easier-going than similar anthuriums. That being said, it’s quite clear when the plant is unhappy, so it’s best to keep it in an environment that emulates its familiar home of Central and South America—we suggest a bright (indirect) area next to a humidifier. They also prefer being bottom-watered (they don’t like getting their leaves wet).
