Okay, so these ones do not grow as large as some of the other varieties of Alocasias, being a more compact size. But what they don’t have in height they make up in personality, as seen from their dark, sheen leaves which gave it the name jewel plant. However, we like to think of it as the guy who came to the Halloween party with a skeleton hoodie and a bit too much wine.
