Dwarf cavendish bananas (musa) is a cultivar of cavendish banana plants, which are themselves a cultivar of the original, seed-bearing Musa acuminata. Though the bananas of both the cavendish and its dwarf cannot produce seeds (this variety having an extra chromosome set), they have proliferated exponentially by humans due to their sweet, seedless fruit. The half-sized dwarf also produces the same fruit, and despite the difficulty of growing bananas indoors, just the idea of growing these plants at home have made them an extremely popular houseplant.

Care Guide
How to Grow and Care for Dwarf Cavendish Banana (Musa acuminata ‘Dwarf cavendish’)?
Though it’s exceedingly difficult to grow fruits with a banana plant indoors, it’s not impossible. The main problem simply lies in the fact that these plants are highly greedy, often preferring more light, more nutrients, and more water than others of its size. Thus, though the plant itself can grow quite happily in bright rooms with regular water and fertilizer, a banana that’s grown to fruit prefers greenhouse (or supplemental) lighting and compost soils.
