In a sea of relentless terrors, the whale is a gentle giant. It parents its children with extreme care, feeding them nutrient-dense milk and often starving themselves in warmer breeding grounds, in hopes of efficiently raising strong whales who can weather the vast ocean alone. Snake plants (often called sansevierias but reclassified as Dracaena, a species named after she-dragons), are also known (culturally) for their protective nature—whether it be from negative spirits or simply bad air quality. This relation makes Sansevieria Whalefin quite a fitting symbol for parental protection (a reminder of people who protected us so we could live freely).

Care Guide
How to Care for Whale Fin Sansevieria, Dracaena Masoniana?
Like a mother whale, the Whalefin can survive well without much fertilization (feeding), towering over the new pups it grows from its rhizomes. Unlike whales, however, sansevierias are native to hot climates of central Africa, loving the sun and disliking wet toes. Thus, while Whalefins are often quite pest and neglect resistant and survive under a variety of conditions, it’s important not to water them too frequently.
