While on the more sensitive end of even the sensitive genus of Anoectochilus, the lady’s best friend is aptly named for the beautiful soft gradient of its leaves, going from yellow to orange to pink amidst its green and dark purple. While it takes a lot of delicate care to get this plant going, falling into rhythm with this plant can be especially rewarding.

Care Guide

How to Care for Jewel Orchid Anoectochilus Albolineatus 'Lady's Best Friend'?

This plant is quite small, and so are its roots. Thus, its important not to drown it in a large amount of moist soil that takes a while to dry. Many people recommend putting these plants in shallow pots or filling everything but the top 5cm with hydrotons (ie. clay balls/LECA) and filling the rest in nutrient dense peat or tree-fern fiber. Once established, however, this plant can do quite well in lower lights (as a forest floor plant) and little (albeit consistent) care.
