Whether you like the idea of having plants but don’t like any of the attributes of plants (like photosynthesizing leaves), or you’re a big fan of the stranger, out-there aspects of life, this plant holds a dangerous balance in its wide, thin leaves, the kind that can only be cultivated with the careful culmination of effort and time.

Care Guide
How to Care for Caladium Candidum Senior (Caladium x Hortulanum)?
The Senior Caladium falls under the list of caladiums that have been hybridized for gardens in the higher range of plant zones, surviving a wider range of lighting conditions (where simple bicolor plants dislike direct sunlight, the hybrids can take it a bit better). Even still, these plants quickly retreat at the first signs of winter, going into dormancy until the weather gets warmer, brighter, and more humid. While you can maintain the plant throughout the year by supplementing light and heat, there’s nothing wrong with cutting the plant back, putting it in a warm dry pot of peat moss, and waiting for it to bounce back in the spring.
